POLICY SERVICES

Policy changes and refunds

After you buy: changing details or dates, adding or removing family, switching insurers, cancelling. Tell us your member number and what you need, and we deal with the insurer.

What we can arrange

Personal details

Passport number, name spelling, contact details, Australian address. A passport change needs the old and new passport pages.

Policy dates

Course delayed, started early, or visa dates changed. Send the new CoE or visa letter.

Renewal and extension

Visa extended or a further course: renew before expiry so there's no gap.

Add family

Partner or children arriving later: upgrade from single to couple, single parent or family. The premium is recalculated.

Remove family

Family members leaving Australia: downgrade to single.

Switch insurer

The new policy must start right after the old one; the unused part of the old policy is refunded under its rules.

Cancel and refund

Visa refused, never came, or left permanently: see the refund cases below.

Certificate of cover

The certificate your visa, school or employer asks for.

When a refund applies

Visa refusedProvide the refusal letter; usually a full refund.
Left Australia permanentlyProvide proof of departure; the unused part is refunded under the insurer's rules, possibly less a small fee.
Switched insurerOnce the new policy joins on seamlessly, the remainder of the old one is refunded under its rules.

Fees and refund amounts follow the insurer's terms, and an adviser tells you before anything is processed.
